INNOVATION TEAM

During my time with the Innovation Team at the City of Syracuse, I was responsible for creating and curating engaging video, photo, and blog content that showcased the city's community initiatives. This content aimed to highlight the city’s diversity and achievements in civic innovation.

One of the last projects I worked on while interning with the City of Syracuse’s Innovation Team was a promotional video for the iTeam’s Quality of Life initiative. The aim of this initiative was to learn firsthand from Syracuse residents what quality of life meant to them and how the City of Syracuse could improve upon that for its constituents. We created this video to explain the Quality of Life initiative to the community and the steps taken to improve the Quality of Life for Syracuse residents.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Syracuse’s Annual Healthy Housing 101 Open House Event was forced to go virtual. As a result, the Syracuse Innovation Team’s Storytelling Interns were brought in to produce a short web series recording all information typically discussed during this event. I worked closely with Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh, Deputy Mayor Sharon Owens, the Division of Code Enforcement, and the Central Permit Office to create an engaging and informative web series to help Syracuse residents ensure that they have safe housing that is up to code standards.
